Being a by-law to amend By-law 4396/73 of The
Corporation of the Township of Pickering respecting the
sale of Part Lot 18, Range 3, Broken Front Concession,
Pickering (formerly Part 3, Plan 40R-971; now Part 1,
Plan 40R-12757) by The Corporation of the Township of
Picketing to Circle F (Canada) Limited [RE7302].
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 336 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the Council of
The Corporation of the Township of Pickering enacted By-law 4396/73 authorizing the sale of certain
lands by the Corporation to Circle F (Canada) Limited; and
WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Pickering is the successor to The Corporation of the
Township of Picketing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 191 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, the Council of
The Corporation of the Town of Pickering has the same powers respecting the sale and disposal of lands
as the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Pickering had when it enacted By-law 4396/73;
and
WHEREAS section 1 of By-law 4396/73 contains a typographical error in that it refers to "part of Lot
19" instead of "part of Lot 18"; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to correct that typographical error;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The first line of section 1 of By-law 4396/73 of The Corporation of the Township of Picketing,
of which The Corporation of the Town of Pickering is the successor, is hereby amended by
deleting "part of Lot 19" from it and by substituting therefor "part of Lot 18".
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 28th day of June, 1993.
