Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement
Officers for certain purposes (Parking
Regulation: 1890 Valley Farm Road, DCC #93
1880 Valley Farm Road, DCC #106
Whereas pursuant to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police
Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, chapter P15, as amended, the council of
any municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or
more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers
for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or
police village;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following persons are hereby appointed as a Municipal Law
Enforcement Officer in and for the Town of Pfckering and are
hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands
municipally known as 1890 Valley Farm Road, Durham Condominium
Corporation #93, 1880 Valley Farm Road, Durham Condominium
Corporation #106, in order to ascertain whether the provisions
of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into
effect the said By-law:
Commissionaire Joseph G. Kiomall
Commissionaire John McArdle
Commissionaire David Ross
Commissionaire Earle W. Snowden
2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically
limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed,
at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1.
3. This appointment shall expire upon those persons appointed in
Section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of The Canadian
Corps of Commisstonaires or upon The Canadian Corps of
Commtssionaires ceasing to be an authorized agent of Durham
Condominium Corporation #93, Durham Condominium Corporation
#106, whichever shall occur first.
4. By-laws 3764/91, 3857/91 and 4187/93 be hereby repealed.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed
this 2lst day of June 1993.
