HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5605/00THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5605/00 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #19, 1210 Radom St.; #51, 1958 Rosefield Rd.; #52, 580 Eyer Dr.; #93/106, 1880/1890 Valley Farm Road; #136, 1525/35 Diefenbaker and 1530/40 Picketing Parkway; #139, 1400 The Esplanade, Casitas; #152, 1525 Pickering Parkway; #32, 1360 Glenanna Road; #58, 1975 Rosefield Rd.; #107, 1655 Picketing Parkway; #145, 1635 Picketing Parkway; #150, 1735 Walnut Lane; OCC #2, 925 Bayly St.; #11, 1235 Radom St.; and 1822 White's Road, Amberlea Plaza. WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(I) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 15, as amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the City of Pickering in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as: a) The Townhouses of Walnut Lane, DCC #150: Steven Greenidge and b) DCC #19, 1210 Radom St.; #51, 1958 Rosefield Rd.; #52, 580 Eyer Dr.; #93/106, 1880/1890 Valley Farm Road; #136, 1525/35 Diefenbaker and 1530/40 Pickering Parkway; #139, 1400 The Esplanade, Casitas; #152, 1525 Picketing Parkway; #32, 1360 Glenanna Road; #58, 1975 Rosefield Rd.; #107, 1655 Picketing Parkway; #145, 1635 Picketing Parkway; OCC #2, 925 Bayly St.; #11, 1235 Radom St.; and 1822 White's Road, Amberlea Plaza: Tek Ang Cam Feldcamp Adam Muxworthy The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. -2- These appointmems shall expire upon the person listed in section 1 (a) hereof ceasing to be a resident of the Townhouses of Walnut Lane and upon the persons listed in section 1 (b) hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an agent of DCC #19, 1210 Radom St.; #51, 1958 Rosefield Rd.; #52, 580 Eyer Dr.; #93/106, 1880/1890 Valley Farm Road; #136, 1525/35 Diefenbaker and 1530/40 Picketing Parkway; #139, 1400 The Esplanade, Casitas; #152, 1525 Picketing Parkway; #32, 1360 Glenanna Road; #58, 1975 Rosefield Rd.; #107, 1655 Pickering Parkway; #145, 1635 Picketing Parkway; OCC #2, 925 Bayly St.; #11, 1235 Radom St.; and 1822 White's Road, Amberlea Plaza, or whichever shall occur first. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 17th day of January, 2000.
