HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5591/99THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5591/99 Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2632/88 to provide for the erection of stop signs at certain intersections with the Town of Pickering. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. H.8, the council of a municipality may by by-law provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I, facing the traffic bound in the direction or directions set out in Column II. Schedule A to By-law 2632/88, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following items: Column I Intersections Canso Drive and Acorn Lane Column II Facing Traffic Southbound on Canso Drive This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8, section 34.
