BY-LAW NO. 5555/99
Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers
for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #145,
1635 Picketing Pkwy.; DCC #1, 1210 Radom St.; DCC
#42, 1319 Fieldlight Blvd.; DCC #52, 580 Eyer Dr.;
DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd.; DCC #136, 1525/1535
Diefenbaker and 1530/40 Pickering Pkwy.; DCC #139,
1400 The Esplanade, Casitas; OCC #2, 925 Bayly St.;
DCC #31, 1360 Glenanna Rd.; DCC #51, 1958
Rosefield Rd.; DCC #58, 1975 Rosefield Rd.; DCC
#93/106, 1880/1890 Valley Farm Rd.; DCC #152, 1625

WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15 as
amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and
WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcemem officers are
peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and
for the Town of Pickering in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87
are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby authorized to
enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as

The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1,
and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1.
These appointments shall expire upon the persons listed in group (a) & (b) appointed in
section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4
C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of DCC #145, 1635 Pickering Parkway,
DCC #1, 1210 Radom St.; DCC #42, 1319 Fieldlight Blvd.; DCC #52, 580 Eyer Dr.;
DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd.; DCC #136, 1525/35 Diefenbaker and 1530/40 Picketing
Pkwy.; DCC #139, 1400 The Esplanade, Casitas; OCC #2, 925 Bayly St.; DCC #31, 1360
Glenanna Rd.; DCC #51, 1958 Rosefield Rd.; DCC #58, 1975 Rosefield Rd.; DCC
#93/106, 1880/1890 Valley Farm Rd.; DCC #152, 1625 Pickering Parkway and OCC #11,
1235 Radom St, or upon the person listed in group (c) appointed in section 1 hereof
ceasing to be an employee of Burns International Security Services Limited, or upon
Burns International Security Services Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of 1822
White's Road, Amberlea Plaza, or upon the person listed in group (d) appointed in section
1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of Authorized Parking Only Ltd., or upon Authorized
Parking Only Ltd. ceasing to be an authorized agent of DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd; DCC
#42, 1310 Fieldlight Blvd. and DCC #129, 905 Bayly St., or upon the person listed in
group (e) appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of Nemesis Security
Services Inc. or upon Nemesis Security Services Inc. ceasing to be an authorized agent of
963-979 Brock Rd. and 1735 Bayly St., or whichever shall occur first.
By-laws 5457/99, 5492/99 and 5524/99 are hereby deleted.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 21 st day of September, 1999.
