HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5404/98THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5404/98 Being a by-law to declare as surplus and authorize the sale of municipal lands being that part of Block 93 and those parts of Blocks 84, 94, and 96 Plan 40M-1515 Pickering, designated as Parts 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 13, Plan 40R-18609, in accordance with By-Law 4592/95. WHEREAS, The Town of Pickering on April 3, 1995 passed By-Law 4592/95 to establish procedures to regulate the sale of Municipal Real Property pursuant to section 193(2) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.M.45, as amended; AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Picketing desires to deem surplus and sell part of the surplus lands to the owner of the abutting lands; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Those lands lying and being in the Town of Picketing, in the Regional Municipality of Durham legally described as Block 93 and those parts of Blocks 84, 94 and 96, Plan 40M-1515, Picketing, designated as Parts 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 13 on Plan 40R-18609 are hereby designated as surplus land for the purposes of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing; Those lands lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham legally described as Block 93 and those parts of Blocks 84, 94 and 96, Plan 40M-1515, Picketing, set out as Parts 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 13 on Plan 40R-18609 shall be sold to Marshall Homes Corporation, or its designate, for the sale price of $12,500.00, subject to any easements in favour of the Region of Durham, in accordance with By-Law 4592/95.
