BY-LAW NO. 4532/94
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of that part of
the Road Allowance between Concession 1, Pickering,
and Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Pickering,
designated as Parts 11, 12 and 13, Plan 40R-1090, for
the purpose of enabling the Town to exercise its
jurisdiction to stop up those lands as public highway.
WHEREAS, pursuant to subsection 191(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, the
Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering may pass by-laws for acquiring any land required
for the purposes of the corporation; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to acquire that part of the Road Allowance between Concession 1, Pickering,
and Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Picketing, designated as Parts 11, 12 and 13, Plan 40R-1090,
for the purpose of enabling the Town to exercise its jurisdiction to stop up those lands as public
highway;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
I. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering shall acquire from The Regional Municipality of
Durham for nominal consideration, i.e. $2.00, that part of the Road Allowance between
Concession 1, Picketing, and Range 3, Broken Front Concession, Picketing, designated as Parts
11, 12 and 13, Plan 40R-1090, for the purpose of enabling the Council of The Corporation of the
Town of Pickering to exercise its jurisdiction to stop up those lands as public highway.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 21st day of November, 1994.
