BY-LAW NUMBER 4468/94
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036 as amended
by By-law 1895/84, to implement lhe Official Plan of the Town of Pickering
District Planning Area, Region of Durham, in Part Lot 18, Concession 1, in
the Town of Picketing. (A35/90)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing passed By-law 1895/84,
amending By-law 3036 to permit the development of assembly halls, bakeries, businesses
offices, commercial clubs, commercial recreational establishments, commercial schools, dry
cleaning depots, financial institutions, food stores, laundromats, personal service shops, private
clubs, professional offices, public clubs, restaurants - Type A, retail stores;
AND WIIEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing now deems it
desirable to amend By-law 1895/84 to permit an increase of the gross leasable retail and personal
service floor area permitted on the site to a maximum of 7,000 square metres on the subject
lands being Pail lot 18, Concession 1;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF TIlE CORPORATION OF TIlE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. TEXT AMENDMENTS
Section 5(2)(g) of By-law 1895/84 is hereby revoked, and the following substituted
lherewilh:
5(2)(g) GROSS RETAIL AND PERSONAL
SERVICE FLOOR AREA (maximum): The maximum gross leasable retail
and personal service floor area
permitted on the site shall not exceed 7,000 square metres.

By-law 1895/84, is hereby further amended only to the exlent necessary to give effect to
the provisions of this By-law. Definitions and subject matters not specifically dealt with in
this By-law shall be governed by the relevant provisions of By-law 1895/84 and By-law
3036, as amended.

This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
