BY-LAW NO. 4464/94
Being a by-law to amend By-Law 2366/87, designating
parts of Rosebank Road and Aspen Road as through
highways.
WHEREAS, section 1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter H.8, defines "through
highways" as a highway or pan of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a
municipality and provides that every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of-way
sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry; and
WHEREAS By-Law 2366/87, as amended, provides for the designation of certain highways in the Town
of Pickering as through highways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-Law 2366/87 to designate parts of Rosebank Road and
Aspen Road as through highways;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule A to By-Law 2366/87, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting the
following:

Aspen Road Spruce Hill Road Southerl~ terminus of Aspen
Road south of Parkside Drive
Aspen Road Stroud's Lane North terminus of Aspen Road,
north of Pebble Court
Rosebank Road Rougemount Drive Cowan Circle
Rosebank Road South Cowan Circle Highway 401
Rosebank Road Kingston Road (Highway 2) Sheppard Avenue
and substituting the following therefor:

2. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8,
section 34.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 27th day of June, 1994.
