BY-LAW NO, 4414/94
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of Part Lot
18, Concession 8, Pickering [Lot 22, Plan 43, Pickering
(Claremont)l for parkland purposes (Claremont
Community Park).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 191(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter
M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing may pass by-laws for acquiring any land
or interest therein for the purposes of the corporation;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The Corporation of the Town of Pickering shall acquire part of Lot 18, Concession 8, Pickering,
being Lot 22, Plan 43, Pickering (Claremont), for parkland purposes (Claremont Community
Park), at a cost to the Corporation not to exceed $165,000.
2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Agreement of Purchase and Sale, in
the fom~ attached hereto as Schedule A, between Robert Cook and Jennifer O'Blenes, as vendors,
and the Town of Picketing, as purchaser, to implement the acquisition of the lands referred to in
section 1.
3. The Town Solicitor is hereby authorized to execute all other documentation required to effect the
acquisition in substantial accordance with the Agreement of Purchase and Sale and this By-law.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 18th day of April, 1994.
