HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4891/96 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 489 ~./9 6 Being a byolaw to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - 726 Kingston Road) Whereas pursuant to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, chapter PI5, as amended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as 726 Kingston Road, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law: Mohammed Iqbal Mohammad Naseem Copeland Cleghorn Lawrence Bizeau 2. The authority granted in section I hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section I. 3. These appointments shall expire upon the persons appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be an employee of Cityguard Security Inc. or upon Cityguard Security Inc. ceasing to be owners of 726 Kingston Road.
