HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4860/96 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 4860/9 6 Being a by-law to authorize the sale of surplus municipal lands being Part Block 15, Plan 40M- 1653, Pickering, designated as Parts 1 and 2, Plan 40R-XXX~, in accordance with By-Law 4592/95. WHEREAS, The Town of Picketing on April 3, 1995 passed By-Law 4592/95 to establish procedures to regulate the sale of Municipal Real Property pursuant to section 193(2) of the MunicipalAct, R.S.O. 1990 c.M.45, as amended; AND WHEREAS, by By-Law 4736/96, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering, declared the lands being Block 15, Plan 40M-1653, Picketing, as surplus to the needs of the Municipality; AND WHEREAS, The Corporation of the Town of Pickering desires to sell part of the surplus lands to the owner of the abutting lands; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Those lands lying and being in the Town of Picketing, in the Regional Municipality of Durham legally described as part of Block 15, Plan 40M-1653, Pickering, designated as Part 1, Plan 40R-XXXX, shall be sold to Sharon Bate for a nominal fee in accordance with By-Law 4592/95. 2. Those lands lying and being in the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham legally described as that part of Block 15, Plan 40M-1653, Pickering, designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-XXXX, shall be sold to Russell Miller and Ruth Miller for a nominal fee in accordance with By-Law 4592/95. 3. By-law 4814/96 is hereby repealed. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 21 st day of October, 1996.
