BY-LAW NO. 4844/96
Being a by-law to author&e the sale of surplus
municipal lands being Part of Lot 26, Registered
Plan 820, Picketing, designated as Part X~, Plan
40R-XXXX, in accordance with By-Law 4592/95.
WHEREAS, The Town of Pickering on April 3, 1995 passed By-Law 4592/95 to establish
procedures to regulate the sale of Municipal Real Property pursuant to section 193(2) of the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990 c.M.45, as amended;
AND WHEREAS by By-Law 4796/96, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering
declared the lands being Part of Lot 26, Registered Plan 820, Picketing, designated as Part XXX,
Plan 40R-XXXX as surplus to the needs of the Municipality;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Town of Pickering desires to sell part of the surplus
lands to the owner of the abutting lands;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Those lands lying and being in the Town of Picketing, in the Regional Municipality of
Durham legally described as Part of Lot 26, Registered Plan 820, Picketing, and being
more particularly set out as Part XX, Plan 40R-XXXX shall be sold to David Barrett and
Catherine Barrett for the sum of $1,800 in accordance with By-Law 4592/95.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 16th day of September, 1996.
