HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4843/96 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 4~43/96 Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2632/88 to provide for the erection of stop signs at certain intersections within the Town of Pickering. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. H.8, the council of a municipality may pass a by-law to provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections on highways under its jurisdiction; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I, facing the traffic bound in the direction or directions set out in Column II. 2. Schedule A to By-law 2632/88, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following items: Column I Column II 1. Fernham Street and Eastbound on Post Drive Post Drive 2. Fernham Street/ Eastbound on Dencourt Drive Dencourt Drive and Westbound on Ashfield Court Ashfield Court Northbound on Fernham Street and Southbound on Fernham Street 3. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. R.8, section 34.
