HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4842/96 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 4842 /96 Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2366/87 designating parts of roads as through highways within the Town of Picketing. WHEREAS, section 1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. H.8, defines "through highways" as a highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a municipality and provides that every such highway be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of- way sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry; and WHEREAS By-law 2366/87, as amended, provides for the designation of certain highways in the Town of Pickering as through highways; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Schedule A to By-law 2366/87, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting the following: ~ From To Femham Street Strouds Lane Chamwood Court 2. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities ,4 ct, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. R.8, section 34. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 27th day of August, 1996.
