BY-LAW NO. 4835/96
Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2632/88 to
provide for the erection of stop signs at certain
intersections within the Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap.
H.8, the council of a municipality may by by-law provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections
on highways under its jurisdiction;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I, facing the traffic
bound in the direction or directions set out in Column II.
2. Schedule A to By-law 2632/88, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the
following items:
Column I Column II
Rosebank Road and Concession Road 3 Northbound on Rosebank Road
Eastbound on Concession Road 3
Westbound on Concession Road 3
Greenwood Road and Concession Road 6 Northbound on Greenwood Road
Eastbound on Concession Road 6
Westbound on Concession Road 6
North Road and Whitevale Road Southbound on North Road
Eastbound on Whitevale Road
Westbound on Whitevale Road
3. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8,
section 34.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 6th day of August, 1996.
