BY-LAW NUMBER 4830/96
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 2359/87 to provide
for revised standards for parking spaces for physically
challenged persons.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing enacted By-law
Number 2359/87 on January 19, 1987 to provide for the regulating of parking, standing
and stopping on highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering and on private and municipal property; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend that By-law to provide for revised standards
for parking spaces for physically challenged persons;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 12(2) of By-law 2359/87 is hereby deleted and the following is substituted
therefore:
12(2) Eve~ owner and operator ora parking lot shah provide a minimum number
of designated parking spaces herein in accordance with the following
Table:

1-50 1
51- 100 2
101- 150 3
151 - 200 4
201 - 400 5
401 - 800 8
Over 800 8 plus one for each additional 200
parkin~ spaces in parkin~ lot
2. This by-law shall take effect on July 1, 1997.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 6th day of August, 1996.
