BY-LAW NUMBER 4825/96
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3037, as amended
by By-law 3155/89, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering
District Planning Area, Region of Durham in the North Part of Lots 29 & 30,
Concession 4, in the Town of Picketing. (A 5/96)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering deems it desirable to
permit a golf practice facility as a temporary use in the North Part of Lots 29 and 30, Concession
4, in the Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 3037, as amended by By-law 3155/89, is therefore
deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Schedule I attached hereto with notations and references shown thereon is hereby declared
to be part of this By-law.
The provisions of this By-law shall apply to those lands in the North Part of Lots 29 & 30,
Concession 4, designated "A(T-GPF)" and shown hatched on Schedule I attached hereto.
3. GENERAL PROVISIONS
No building, land or part thereof shall hereafter be used, occupied, erected, moved or
structurally altered except in conformity with the provisions of this By-law.
In this By-law, "Golf Practice Facility" shall mean the use of land for a driving range with
target greens operated for the purpose of developing golfing techniques.
5. PROVISIONS
Temporary_ Uses Permitted ("A(T-GPF)" Zone)
Despite any provision of By-law 3037, as amended by By-law 3155/89, the lands
designated "A(T-GPF)" and shown hatched on Schedule I attached hereto may be used for
a golf practice facility during the three-year period from the date the By-law becomes final
and binding.

By-law 3037, as amended by By-law 3155/89, is hereby further amended only to the extent
necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as it applies to the hatched area set
out in Schedule I attached hereto.
7. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
