BY-LAW NO. 4817/96
Being a by-law to amend By-law 1562/82 temporarily
closing roads for construction purposes (Seventh
Concession Road, Salem Road and Sideline 6).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the predecessor of section 208.43 of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering enacted By-law
1562/82, providing for the temporary closing of roads under the jurisdiction of the Town for
construction purposes;
AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend that By-law in certain respects;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule A to By-law 1562/82 is hereby amended by adding thereto Items 201,202 and 203, set
out in Schedule I to this by-law.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 24th day o£ June, 1996.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE:
Seventh Concession Road - from Westney Road, easterly to Sideline 4.
Salem Road - from Highway 7, northerly to Seventh Concession Road.
Sidelh]c 6 - from Sevend] Concession Road, northerly to Eighth Concession Road.
The roads will be closed from July 22, 1996 to/including October 31, 1996.
CONSTRUCTION DURATION:
Approximately 9 weeks.
CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES:
Complete Road Widening and Reconstruction (excavation, granular base, and asphalt)
· On the Seventh Concession Road, between Station 0+600m (east of Westney
Road) and the intersection at Salem Road and Sideline 6
· this will also accommodate completion of construction started in 1995
Permanent Road Closing
· Oa Sideline 6, at the intersection of the Seventh Concession Road
Complete Landscape Restoration (grading, sodding, where required) · to all areas affected
