BY-LAW NUMBER 4739/96
Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement
Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation
OCC #2 and #11 and DCC #19, #32, #42, #51, #52
#58 and #60)
Whereas pursuant to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990,
chapter P15, as amended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may
appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the
purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The following persons are hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in
and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable
times upon lands municipally known as 925 Bayly St. - OCC #2, 1235 Radom St. -
OCC #11, 1210 Radom St. - DCC #19, 1360 Glenanna St. - DCC #32, 1310
Fieldlight Blvd. - DCC #42, 1958 Rosefleld Rd. - DCC #51,580 Eyer Dr. - DCC #52,
1975 Rosefield Rd. - DCC 58, 1915 Denmar Rd. - DCC #60 and 1400 The Esplanade
- Casitas and Discovery Place, in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law
2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law:

2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section
I, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section I.
3. This appointment shall expire upon the persons appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing
to be an employee of G-roup 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited ceasing
to be an authorized agent of 925 Bayly St. - OCC #2, 1235 Radom St. - OCC #ll,
1210 Radom St. - DCC #19, 1360 Glenanna St. - DCC #32, 1310 Fieldlight Blvd. -
DCC #42, 1958 Rosefield Rd. - DCC #51,580 Eyer Dr. - DCC #52, 1975 Rosefield
Rd. - DCC 58, 1915 Denmar Rd. - DCC #60 and 1400 The Esplanade - Casitas and
Discovery Place, whichever shall occur first.
4. By-law 4576/95 is hereby amended by deleting Steward Short. By-law 4577/95 is
hereby amended by deleting Kris McCarthy.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day of February,
1996.
