Being a by-law to establish a fee for tax certificates.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 220.1(2) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.45, as
amended, a municipality and a local board may pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on
any class of persons for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; and
WHEREAS by resolution passed on June 15, 1998, the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Picketing has authorized the outsourcing of tax certificates to Synamics Inc. and
increased the fees for tax certificates to $50.00;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The fee for tax certificates is hereby established at $50.00 for each Certificate
issued.
2. By-law Number 3408/90 is hereby repealed.

THIS 15TH DAY OF JUNE, 1998.
