HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5321/98THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 5 3 21/9 8 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd., DCC ~42, 1310 Fieldlight Blvd., DCC #129, 905 Bayly St.). WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15, as amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the Town of Picketing in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd., DCC #42, 1310 Fieldlight Blvd., DCC #129, 905 Bayly St. Lancelott Hermanstyne Sheldon Wilson Shaun Mullen 2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set om in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. 3. These appointments shall expire upon the persons appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing t° be employees of Authorized Parking Only Ltd. or upon Authorized Parking Only Ltd. ceasing to be an authorized agent of DCC #60, 1915 Denmar Rd., DCC ~42, 1310 Fieldlight Blvd., DCC #129, 905 Bayly St., or whichever shall occur first.
