BY-LAW NUMBER 5 311/98
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3037, as amended, to
implement the Official Plan of the Town of Picketing District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, in Part of Lot 31, Concession 3, in the Town of Picketing.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing passed By-law 3037, as
amended by By-law 2675/88, to zone the subject lands being Part of Lot 31, Concession 3, in the
Town of Picketing, for institutional/church purposes;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing now deems it
desirable to amend By-law 2675/88, to permit the establishment of a residential detached
dwelling use on the subject lands;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. SCHEDULE I
Schedule I attached hereto with notations and references shown thereon is hereby declared
to be part of this By-law.
2. SCHEDULE AMENDMENT
Schedule I to By-law 2675/88 is hereby amended by changing the lands designated "I(C)"
on the north side of the Third Concession Road to "HMR2" and applying cross-hatching, as
per Schedule I of this By-law.
3. TEXT AMENDMENT
By-law 2675/88 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
5.(1)(C) Exceptions
(ii)
Despite the minimum lot area and front yard depth provisions of
~subsections 5.(1)(b)(i) and 5.(1)(b)(iii), in the area cross-hatched on
Schedule I, a detached dwelling use may be established with a minimum
lot area of 1200 square metres and a minimum front yard depth of 0.8 of a
metre in the building existing on the date of the passing of this by-law.
4. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of the passing hereof subject to the approval of
the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
