HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5310/98THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 53"I~0:?'9 8 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - DCC #136, Village At The Pines, 1525 Diefenbaker Court). WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 15, as amended, a municipal council may appoint persons to enforce the by-laws of the municipality; and WHEREAS pursuant to section 15(2) of the said Act, municipal by-law enforcement officers are peace officers for the purpose of enforcing municipal by-laws; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the Town of Pickering in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law and is hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as DCC #136, Village At The Pines, 1525 Diefenbaker Court: Henry Veinot Greg Johnston Steve Foster Theresa Canonico Mike Burger Aaron Brunelle John Booker Lome Graham b) William Zaraska Bm Lloyd 2. The authority granted in section 1 hereto is specifically limited to that set om in section 1, and shah not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. o These appointmems shall expire upon the persons listed in group (a) appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of 1525 Diefenbaker Court, or upon the persons listed in group (b) appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Del Property Management Inc., or whichever shall occur first. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day of May, 1998. Mayor Clerk
