HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 7647/18The Corporation of the City of Pickering By-law No. 7647/18 Being a by-law to stop -up and close Part of the Road Allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, being Part 4, Plan 40R-29446 as a public highway, subject to required easements. Whereas, the Council, of The Corporation of the City of Pickering passed Resolution #438/18 on May 14, 2018 declaring Part of the Road Allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, being Part 4, Plan 40R-29446 surplus to the needs of the City for the purpose of transfer to the Regional Municipality of Durham; Whereas, Part 4, Plan 40R-29446 is no longer required as a public highway; and Whereas pursuant to the, Municipal Act, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering may pass by-laws to stop -up and close a public highway, or part thereof, Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as follows: That the following road allowance is hereby stopped -up and closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the purpose of transfer to the Regional Municipality of Durham, subject to all required easements: Part of the Road Allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, Pickering, being Part 4, Plan 40R-29446: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents authorized by the Director, Corporate Services & City Solicitor to effect the stopping -up and closing of the road allowance referred to above and to establish any/all required easements.
