A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Tuesdav, October IS, 1996
at 7:05 p.m.

AUTHORITY TO MEET IN CAMERA

Seconded by Mayor Artnurs
That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S,O, 1990, c MA5, as amended,
the Council on~ Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting closed to the public for the purpose of consider¡ng a property transaction and
personnel matters.

That the Town Solicitor be authorized to undertake negotiations with the various owners
of the portions of the subject lands needed by the Town for the purpose of widening and
realigning Rosebank Road;
and prepare the necessary documentation for the acquisition of the subject lands.
CARRIED
The Executive Director of OperatiortS distributed a memo ITom himself dated October 10,
1996 regarding the movement of the Municipal Worlcs Supervisor through the salary
grade level for his position. Council did not discuss this issue and returned ¡he memo to
the Executive Director op Operations.
Councillor Brenner dedared an interest in the above matter because the memo of
the Executive Director of ODerations references the Novacor issue. of wbicb be is a
DartY to the litil!ation. and he left the room and did not Dartic:iDate in the discussion
on this item.
