SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

AUTHûRITY TO MEET IN CAMERA

That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municipal Act, R.S,O. 1990, c M.4S, as amended,
the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a
meeting closed to the public for the purpose of considering land transaction.

RESOLUTIONS
Resolution #178/96

Seconded by Councillor Pistritto
That the Town Solicitor be authorized to retain the services of Shaheen & Peaker Limited
to act as a consultant on behalf of the Town for the purpose of conducting all necessary
environmental tests on the lands designated as Water Lots I, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and part of
Water Lot 3, Plan 65, Pickering, provided that the consultants will not be retained until
the agreements of purchase and sale have been entered into between the Town and the
vendors of the lands.

The Town Manager reported on the meeting between officials of the Town and
representatives of Nova cor held on Fri'¡~" June 14, 1996,
