That pursuant to Section 55(7) of the Municip i} Act, R.S,O. 1990, c M,45, as amended, the Council (If the Corporation of the Town of Pickering i1ereby resolves to conduct a meeti.18 closed to the public for the purpose of considering litigation, a property transaction and a per5OMel matter, CARRIED 8S lID BY-LAWS That Councillor Johnson, seconded by Councillor Diclcerson, took leave to introduce a by- law of the Town ofPiclcering: By-law NIJlJlb« 4764/96 . Being a by-law to authorize the execution of the 1995-1996 Collective Agreement, to ratifY ~ terms of the 1996-1998 Memorandum ofSettlernent (dated April 2, 1996), and to authorize the executiol' of the 1996-1998 Collective Agreement between the Corporation oftbe Town of Pickering and Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 129. THIRD READING: Councillor Johnson, seconded by Councillor Dickerson, moved that By-law Number 4764/96 be adopted and the said by-law be now read a third time and PASSED and that the mayor and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto, CARRIED om RESOLUTIONS .Bwtl!Ition #96196 Moved by Councillor Pistritto Seconded by Councillor Johnson . That Town Council approve a grant in the amoul1t ofS I 50,000 to the M.T.R.C.A. to assist in the acquisition of the Moore Property described as Lots 323 and 324, Part of Lots 325, 328 and Bloc1c T, Plan 32S and Part of Water Lot in front of Lot 24, Range 3, in the Town of Pickering as part ofM.T.R,C.A.'s Lake Ontario Waterfront Regeneration Project and Greenspace Protection Acquisition Project and that the funds be paid from the Parldand Reserve Fund; and That Town Council approve Items A, B, and C as described in the Report of the Executive Directo. of Operations dated April 18, 1996 regarding "W.T.R.C.A. purchase from Moore Property. Confidential Report to Council (M96-05) dated March 13, 1996" and that statfbe directed to proceed with the necessary arrangements to complete the transactions.
