By-law Number 2489/87 Being a by-law to amend By-1aw 264175 to establish the speed limit on Concession 5 Road in the hamlet of Whitevale at 40 kilometres per hour. By-law Number 2490/87 Being a by-law to exew~t Lots 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 and 73, Plan 40M-1440, Pickering, from part lot control. By-law Number 2491/87 - Two Readings On-Ll Be ing a by-l aw to change the name of Concess ion 5 Road to Wh iteva 1 e Road. By-law Number 2492/87 Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 2439/87 to regulate signs in the Town of Pickering. By-law Number 2493/87 Being a by-law to authorize the execution of an Agreement of Purchase and Sa le and consequent Transfer/Deed of Land conveying Lot 7, P 1 an 614, Pickering to ~eonardo Ca1velli. . THIRD READING Councillor Mitchell, seconded by Councillor Robertson moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 2489/87, 2490/87,2492/87 and 2493/87 be adopted, and that the said By-laws be now read a Th ird Time and PASSED, and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED (IV) 1. 2. . 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. . . 12187 58 OTHER BUSINESS Counc1 llor Arthurs expressed concern with respect to the Region of Durham and Metro Toronto locating sanitary landfill sites in the Town of Pickering. Councillor Stoner asked for a report from the Town Clerk on the policy of informing applicants requesting fenceviewers of the possibility of being charged costs. Councillor Stoner inquired into the status of a complaint of wrecked cõrs on Sideline 14, Concession 7. Council1or Stoner asked if an airplane runway on private res ident ia 1 property is a permi tted use under the Zon ing By-law. Councillor Stoner stated it is likely there will be public hear ings in the event the BrocK North or South san i tar y landfill sites are developed. Councillor Mitchell asked about MTRCA's policy for erosion problems on Beachpoint Promenade. Couneillor Brenner asked for information from Pickering Hydro on the 12 hour power outage on Beachpoint Promenade. The following matters were discussed prior to tll€' regular- meeting: a) A request for financial assistanee. CARRIED b) The Town Manager informed Couneil that watermains north of Finch Avenue and east of Rosebank Road will be extended to the Rosebank Reservoir. c) A Planning Coll1llittee meeting will be held on Tuesday June 23, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. d) There was discussion Centennial Park. lighting fixtures on at Resolution '66/87 Moved by Councillor Stoner Seconded by Councillor Arthurs That the unbudgeted projected cost of $3,000 - $3,500 for lighting poles with fixtures at Centennial Park be approved; and that this amount be charged to Account 2718-6129. CARRIED e) The Town Manager reported on the status of the Ontario Land Corporation sale of lands in the Kinsale area. 12/87 59 (V) CONFIRMATION BY-lAW . By-law Number 2494/87 Councillor Mitchell, seconded by Councillor Coburn moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1987 and that same be now read a first, second and third time and that the same be now ffna 11y passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto 1ffixed.
