That no alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the street. There shall be no excessive noise, and if there is, ensure that the mus ic is turned down or off at the direct ion of the Police. 3. 4. Proper barricades will be provided. The area of the function will be cleaned up il1Jllediately after the function. CARRIED Resolution 644/87 Moved by Councillor Brenner Seconded by Councillor Mitchell Whereas the Cenotaph on Altona Road was erected following World War II; and Whereas there is no reference on it to the sacrifices made in World War I or the Korean War by the citizens of Pickering; Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering lrereby resolves that two plaques be attached to th is Cenotaph to colllllelllOrate these wars and that a flag be permanently flown at this Cenotaph in tribute to al1 tho~e wh~ have served and paid the supreme sacrifice in all wars; and 8 That the Highland Creek. Councillor Stoner, seconded by Councillor Hitehel1 moved that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 2350187, 2455/87, 2456/88, 2458/87, 2459/87, 245G/87, 2461/87, 2462/87 2463/87, 2464/87, 2465/87, 2466/87 and 2467/87 be adopted, õnd that the sa id By-laws be now read a Th ird Time and PASSED, and tha t the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED (V) 1. OTHER BUSINESS Councillor Arthurs stated that the Provincial government is considering low to middle income housing for the Seaton lands. 2. Councillor Stoner asked that the Ministry of Transportation and CoDlftUnications be informed that the traffic 1 ights at Glenanna Road and Highway No.2 should have an extended walk time for pedestrians crossing north/south. The following matters were discussed prior to the regular meeting: 3. - a) Counci 1 refused a request to close Sheppard Avenue near Barry Drive for construction purposes. b) A personnel matter was discussed. - 46 9/87 (V) OTHER BUSINESS - (continued) Resolution #49/87 Moved by Councillor Robertson Seconded by Councillor Arthurs . CARRIED (VI) CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-law Number 2468/87 Councillor Mitchell, seconded by Councillor Coburn moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on the 4th day of Mayo 1987 and that same be now read a first. second and third time and that the same be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and that the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ON LYNN HEIGHTS DRIVE FILE HUMBER - E 4000 . That the request dated April 10, 1987 of 1-1r. wally Richards, 1122 Benton Crescent for traffic control on Lynn Heights Drive be received; and that a by-law be prepared to establ ish a 40 k ilometre per hour speed limit on Lynn Heights Drive; and that By-law 2366/87 (Through Highways) and By-law 506/76 (Stop Si~ns) be amended to provide for three-way stops at the intersection of Lynn Heights Drive and the northerly leg of Benton Crescent and at the intersection of Lynn Heights Drive and the southerly leg of Benton Crescent. 2.
