Irwin asked permission to ohange Rosebank Manor from a seven suite apartment house to a Convalescent Home. Council directed Clerk to check this use with proposed zoning by-law. 2. Proctor and Redfern believe that effluent flowing onto Andrew Dand Golf Course a health problem. Can offer no solution except sewers. Think water loop south of Golf Course should be oompleted. 3. Walter Hardy will eavestrough Municipal Building for t124.50. AGREED v~ work be done. 4., Rev~A. F. Binnin£ton asked that: (1) Fence erected by Dr. Taylor on ro~d allowance between Lots 32-33 be removed by Township so he can have better access to property. (2) Fence erected by Dr. Taylor between his property and road be removed. (3) Township maintain said road allowanoe from bottom of Morgan Hill to Rouge River. 5. Town of Ajax advise they seek legislation to have Carruthers' Creek included in Metro Conservation Authority. 6. Notice Council members welcome at Ontario County Assessor's Association, basket picnio, Uxbridge, July 9th. Tax Collections, May - $12,736.33 Outstanding 85,595.37 1957, May 31 64,593.14 Don Quick strongly objects to condition of watercourse running through Lot 32, Rou«e Highlands Subdivision. L. G. Musselman strongly objects to condition of watercourse running through Let 32, Rouge Highlands Subdivision. J. Tho..,on reported he had inspected one-halt acre in Lot 24, Concession , where Lori B. Motors have wrecked cars. Considers it a wrecking business and believes it would require a Wrecking Lioense to operate. Don. Quick submitted a petition of 13 names asking that the five Town- ship lots in Plan 678 be not sold but held for a small Park. The following PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard: 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 1. Community Association, returned Assessment Notice and Tax Bill for R.dd's Hall at Rosebank claiming that they were not owners. Mr. Don Qniek spoke regarding his letter stating that he was not satisfied with open watercourse through his Lot 32, Plan 678, nor the drainage sewer through the 10 foot by 83 root easement to such watercourse. 4. Mr. Si~~ins, of Lori B. Motors, stated he was not wreoking cars at Concession 7, Lot 24, only storing wreoks until released. Clerk get Solicitors' opinion as to definition of Salvage Yard in respeot to storing wreoked cars. 2. ¡/ 3. v 5. Mr. James Potter asked ror Salvage Yard License at Conoession 3, Lot 32, or information as to the availability of another suitable site. As the area or y Concession 3, Lot 33, had not been polled re such a business, the Clerk was directed that it be done. 6. Mr. Reid Scott, of Rouge Highlands Subdivision stated that his plans for services and drainage of the subdivision had been approved by Mr. Godson, our En.gineer, that the cost of extending the sewer on Lot 32, Plan 678, ~ would be . 6,046.25, that this work was over and above the subdivision agreement, and that his clients should not do this work. Recemmended that the cost be absorbed by their. 28,000.00 general contributien. AGREED to get more advice and again meet Council on June 23rd. RESOLUTION NUMBER 107 MOVED by Mr. James, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, that a Salvage Yard License be ¡/ granted Mr. Potter for the south east part of Lot 33, Concession 3, subject to terms of By-Law Number 2052. MOTION WST RESOLUTION NUMBER 108 MOVED by Mrs. MCPherson, seconded by Mr. James that Septic Tank By-Law be amended to read that the fee be F1ve Dollars instead or Seven Dollars, and split 50% with the Health Unit as of July 1, 1958. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 109 . MOVED by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Pugh, that Rouge Highlands SUbdivision be net granted any ,building permits for Lots 17, 18, 19 and 31, Plan 678, under the Subdivision Agreement until suoh time as our solicitors advise us whether Rouge Highlands Subdivision are legally responsible for the extension of the storm sewer in the north half of the subdivision and that the Reeve and Clerk be authorized to sign any releases requested. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 110 MOVED by Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Pugb, that the Township Engineer proceed with the following work subject to the approval of the Distriot Munioipal Engineer, Department of Highways: Repairs to Bridge - Concession 7, S/L 28-29. THAT (1) Cardiff Construction Company make the following repairs: (a) Cut out cracks in wing walls and put in steel dowels. (b) Provide a smooth even surface on walls and abutments to make a first class Job. at a price of Eight Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($850.00, and to guarantee Job for one year. CARRIED v RESOLUTION NUMBER 111 MOVED by Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. James, that the Township Engineer proceed with the following work subject to the approval of the Distriot Municipal Engineer, Department or Hichways: THAT Mr. Chapman purchase the rollowing material from Armco Drainage and Metal Products Ltd: 80 rt. Pipe Arch (span 12'-8", Rise 8'-1") at a cost ot $66.00 per foot - Five Thousand Two Hundred and Eight Dollars ($5,280.00), this pipe to be installed on the new Diversion Road, Concession 3, Lot 17-18. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 112 a~ <~~", - 3 - RESOLUTION NUMBER 112 MOVED by Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Stewart, that the Township Engineer proceed with the following matter, subject to the approval of the District Municipal Engineer, Department of Highways: THAT the Sales Tas~ amounting to $ 484.25, on the R-190 International Truck be oonfirmed and paid by Supplementary By-Law: The approval has been re~eived to purchase the International Model R-190 equipped with body and hoist, at $7,526.84, plus Sales Tax, $484.25. Total $8,011.09. CARRIED '" AGREED proposed service road, Churoh Street to Station Road, satisfactory to Council. CLERK'S INSTRUCTIONS 1. Get more information re McKeen Boat Works and try and have a representative at Council June 23r~. v 2. Get legal opinion re "storage yard" in respect to a Salvage Yard. v ,/ 3. Poll Conoession 3, Lot 33, area re Salvage Yard. 4;1 Have a Zoning By-Law for all lands south of Conoession 3 for June 23rd. 5.
