PRESENT: C. W. Laycox. in the Chair Mrs. J. L. McPherson Harvey Spang Wm. G. Newman Donald Waring John Campbell Hubert Wank L. T. Johnston, Clerk TENDERS were opened for the construction of a bridge for road allowance between Concessions 1 and 2, Lot 33. and were as follows: Firm Address Price 10% -... Martyn l27 Bruton St.. 12.987.50 1.362. cheque Port Hope RESOLUTION NUMBER 268/6~ MOVED by Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Spang, that Mel-Ron Construction be given the contract to build the bridge on the 1st Con. of Pickering Township being the lowest tender at the tender price of $12,715.00 subject to the approval of the consulting engineer, Mr. R. E. Sims. CARRIED BY-LAW NUMBER 29l'S Mr. Waring. seconded by Mr. Spang. moves for leave to introduce a By- Law of the Township of Pickering to provide street numbers for the lots in the Hamlet of Fairport, being in Concession Broken Front, Range 3. Lots 23 and 24. and that same now be read a first time. Mr. Waring. seconded by Mr. Campbell, moves that By-Law Number 29l~ to provide street numbers for the lots in the Hamlet of Fairport. being in Concession Broken Front, Range 3, Lots 23 and 24 be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read. Mr. Waring, seconded by Mr. Wank. moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 29l~ be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. Range 2 and Broken Front, Range 3, Lots 5 and 6, and that same now be read a first time. Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves that By-Law Number 2915 to provide street numbers for the lots in the subdivision of Pickering Beach, being in Concessions Broken Front, Range 2 and Broken Front, Range 3, Lots 5 and 6 be now read a second time. and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. 2 C. By-Law Number 291« (continued) The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read. Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2915 be adopted. and that the said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
