W. Laycox. in the Chair Mrs. J. McPherson Harvey Spang W. G. Newman Donald Waring John Campbell Hubert Wank L~ T. Johnston, Clerk The following CORRESPONDENCE was considered: 1. Rosemount Investments Limited asks that Council permit them to sell Lot 5, Plan M37 on a septic tank, subject to con4itions required by Township. Mr. Faulkner recommended tying vacant lot at rear to Lot 5. Plan M-37. until Lot 5 is connected to Municipal sewer. See Resolution No. ~6/6~. 2. Mr. Fa~lkner discussed with Council eight recommendations of ~epartment of Planning re By-Law No~ 2572. See Resolution No. ~5/6~. 3. Nat~onal Union of Public'Employees makes application for office s~aff to join their Union. ~. Prof. F. W. Beales advises that it would cost $1.000.00 to $1.200.00 plus cost of actual testing for a survey for gravel pit in the Township. 5. The installation of tap water at municipal hall was discussed and turned over the Property Committee for further consideration. 6~ Chief Donald Lynde reported 18 fire calls in Township for January. 7. By-Law Enforcement Officer asked Council to declare Picov yard in Lot 19. Range 3. a "dangerous yard". . See Resolution No. ~7/6~. The following PERSONS. on MOTION. were heard: 1. On Motion, Messrs. Zeidler and Johnston, of Craig, Zeidler. and Strong. Architects, were heard. Mr. Zeidler stated his firm had designed more than 100 primary and secondary schools in Ontario and that none had cost more than $l6.00 per foot. They are now designing the new 12 room school for Area 2 with the cost within the limits of the provincial grant structure. They state that they have recently completed the T. L. Kennedy High School at $13.58 per square foot, Peterborough at a little over $15.00. and Cooksville. and would be pleased to show Council and High School Board any of these schools. RESOLUTION NUMBER ~5/6~ MOVED by Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr."~ank, that the comments of the Department of Municipal Affairs on our Zoning By-Law 2572 and action taken by our Planning Board be approved by this Council subject to change in Section l3.2. Comment 8 - Recommendation 8 be increased from 7.500 to 10,000 square feet. CARRIED - 2 - RESOLUIION NUMBER ~6/6~ MOVED by Mr. Wank, seconded by Mr. Newman, that this Council approve the sale of Lot 5. Plan M 37 with a septic tank instead of being attached to sewers. subject to the fOllowing conditions: (1) That the South Ontario County Health Unit approve such lot for a septic tank. (2) That the owners of such lot secure sufficient land for a septic tank bed. as required by the South Ontario County Health Unit, by combining this lot with the lot at rear until said Lot 5 is connected to municipal sewers. (3) That the deed for sale of such lot shall contain a clause that would require owners to connect to sewers within three months when laid on Port Union Road. (~) Subject to legal agreement. CARRIED YEA: NAY: Messrs, Newman. Spang, Laycox, Wank and Waring. Mrs. McPherson, Mr. Campbell. RESOLUTION NUMBER 47/6~ MOVED DY Mr. Spang. seconded by Mr. Wank. that this Council declare the yard of Alex and Michael Picov in the north half of Lot 19, Concession Broken Front, Range 3. a dangerous yard because of dangerous wells and cistern, under authority of By-Law No. 2~~4. CARRIED YEA: Mrs. McPherson, Messrs. Newman. Spang, Laycox, Wank. Campbell and Waring. NAY: None. DI RECTIONS l. Mr. Poulsson submit figures to provide Township Hall with water on tap.. 2. Clerk contact Mr. Drumskill re office union. 3. Mr. Poulsson proceed with water and sewer estimates as soon as possible and not wait for winter works. in Fairport Beach.
