Ontario Kunici»al Im»rovement COrDoration advise their debenture rate will be 6!~ for all debentures issued by Municipalities after September 1st, 1959. Villa2e of Pickerin2 su~it resolution agreeing to pay their share of ¡750,OOO.00 debenture for a new High School at Dunbarton. Clerk of the Villa£e of Pickerin~ ad.ises his Council has passed a resolution requesting Pickering Township "for increased and immediate maintenance on boundary roads"., Buildin~ Insuector's Re»ort for August, 1959: 26 permits - Total $ 148,900.00 1959 to date, estimated value 245 permits - $2,164,480.00 1958 to date, estiaated value 370 permits - 4,268,100.00 The following PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard: 4. 2. 3. 4. 1. Mr. I. C. Cam,bell, Senior Project Design Engineer, discussed the proposed Highway 401 by-pass road between Liverpool Road and Moore Read; he stated the Department.~ Highways of Ontario could not extend the by-pass immediately south of C.N.R. to Moore Road from Fairport Road nor pave Fairport Road to Hillview, according to directions of Ontario Municipal Board order; Council pressed their case and it is possible the Department of Highways may give it further consideration. Mr. Caapbell agreed to advise Council of tentative dates for completion of Service Road, Moore oýerpass and closing of Fairport Road, and submit a plan of their ~ediate and long range planning for area as' to roads to serve the proposed 2600 Crusader homes. Mr. K. Vi~ and a delegation of ten asked Council for the Provinoial grant of '461.29 paid Township on their 1958 expenditures. (See "~.llltiOD No. 272) (b) that the balance of the. $1,000.00 grant approved in August, 1958, be given. However, as only $2,775.00 spent on hall, it was held up for one week. (o-J..,.. ~ ~-ç t,~ ~~ ) Alex Bell of Claremont Sohool Section asked that the Public School Board put on a bus to transport his children. Referred to Clare_at School Board. WIl. Fairð'"ieve asked winter work project. (1) that plans be made to build sidewalks as a Couneil agreed to consider. (2) that there be two weeks between Nomination and Election.
