A Meeting of Council was held on MONDAY, the EIGHTH day of JUNE, 1959, at
EIGHT o'clock in the evening.

he (Mr. Jefferson) supplies levels and that he again inspect such houses
before occupancy permits issueil.

Mr. Peterson explaine~ that money given to Theatre group would be
returned if they had sufficient receipts and he considered purchase
of a boat and grants to baseball "a must".

2. Mr. Alex Munroe of Concession B.F. R. 2, I~t 35, expressed dissatis-
faction at Rouge nigh1ands subdivi1ers turning water onto his lands
and their 'using bulldozer to destroy his fence. Reeve Scott stated
Engineer had again written the subdivider and if they did not rectify
Township would call on the bond.
3. Mr. Peters of Lot 3, Plan M 5 objected to septic tanks above him over-
flowing onto his lot.

withhold Building Permits for buildings on any lands, ~1ere he feels there .I
might be a water or drainage problem, until the To~mship Engineer approves

RESOLUTION NUMBER 169
MOVED by Mrs'. McPherson, seconded by Miss Swan, that we purchase a Champion
D 562 grader as specifie~ in tender of Dominion Road Machinery dated May 25th
1959, for $16,200.00 provided that our trade in grader (Adams 610) be accepted i
less snow plow and wing, and provided that the Dominion Road nachinery Co.
agree to maintain the traile in grader (Adams 610) until the Champion D 562 is
delivere~ to Pickerinz rownship.
Grader to be equipped \vi th 29" mo1dboar<'l which is an extra as specified on
tender. CARRIED

Mr. Edgar !ames, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, moves for leave to introduce
a By-Law of the Township of Pickering to provide for the Collection of
Taxes and that same now be read a first time.

for the Collection of Taxes be now read a second' time, an~ that Couacil go
into Committee of the tfuole thereon.
