An Ellergent Meeting of Council was held on WEDNESDAY, the TWENTIETH
day of MAY, 1959, at EIQpT o'clock in the evening.

L. T. Johnston, Clerk
Counoil met with Reeve Cyril Morley, Couoillors,Purvis, Hall and Clerk
Hogarth of Piokering Village, to hear Messrs. Little and Smith of Project
Planners tt.ited explain their Brief on the proposed Piokering Village
applioation to annex part of Pickering Township.
AGREED that Reeve Morley take the Chair.
Messrs. Little and Smith reoommended that Pickering Village do not
apply to annex any of the Township because they are not in a position
t. give annexed area services. They did, however, recommend that the
Village apply to the Town of Ajax, that they be taken into the Town of
Ajax because Ajax has the services and a better" debt and assessment
background.
Pickering eOQDcil members took little part in discussion and Pickering
Village Counoil took exception to the report.
On MOTION of Mr. Soott, the meeting adjourned.
