A meeting of Pickering Township Council
was held on FRIDAY, the TVJENTY-SECOND day
of JULY, 1966, at SIX-THIRTY oVclock p.m.
PRESENT: Reeve C.W. Laycox
Deputy Reeve J.L. McPherson
Councillors: John Campbell
John Williams
Noel C. Marshall, Deputy Clerk.
An emergent meeting of Council was held to consider
the request of the West Shore Ratepayers Association for the
temporary closing of Breezy Drive, in order that the Associa-
tion could hold a street dance.
Resolution #329/66
Moved by Councillor Williams, seconded by Deputy Reeve
McPherson, that thmCo~ncil permit the closing of Breezy Drive
from Essa Crescent to Oklahoma Drive between the hours of
g:OO p.m. and 12:00 p.m. on July 23rd, 1966, to permit the
West Shore Ratepayers Association to hold a barbecue and
Street Dance, as requested by the said association, it being
clearly understood that no objection to said closing has
been lodged by the residents of Breezy Drive and subject to
the said Association arranging for detour signs and for
members of the Township Police Force to police the closure.
CARRIED.
On MOTION by Councillor Campbell the meeting adjourned.
