A meeting of Pickering Township Council was held on MONDAY. the
TWENTY-FIRST day of FEBRUARY, 1966, at 8:15 o'clock p. m.
PRESENT: C. W. Laycox, in the Chair

The following CORRESPONDENCE was considered:
1. George Hall, President of Rougedale Acres Ratepayers'
Association, points out that the house under construction
on Lot 23, Pendermere Parkway, is one foot over lot line
onto Lot 24, and 25 1/2 feet from front of lot rather
than the 30 feet required. Mr. Hall asks that Council
insist that the house be moved to the correct location.
By-law officer to proceed with action against builder.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 79/66
MOVED by Mr. Chatten, seconded by Mr. Campbell,
THAT WHEREAS the County Judge, on February 2nd, 1966, altered
thetºrmula used in the assessment of the cost of Sanitary
Sewers in the West Rouge area under the Local Improvement Act;
AND WHEREAS the formula used in assessing the cost has been
approved by the Ontario Municipal Board;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Clerk is hereby authorized to
appeal the decision of the County Judge to the Ontario Municipal
Board, and to retain the services of the Township Solicitor to
represent the Township before the Board. CARRIED
RESOLUTION NUMBER 80/66
MOVED by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Campbell, that the Township
Clerk be authorized to contact our Solicitor for the purpose of
obtaining payment from Ontario Hydro the sum of $69,000 aswtlined
in Resolution No. 436/65. Said payment is for the cost of water
services in the Brock Road. Montgomery Road and Sandy Beach Road
frontages of the Hydro property. CARRIED
MOVED by Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Beer, that
adjourn, at 8:45 p. m., and move into Committee of
on Finance.
