HomeMy WebLinkAboutNovember 23, 1960 MUNICIPAL BUILDING BROUGHAM A Meeting of Council was held on WEDNESDAY the TWENTY-THIRD day of NOVEMBER, 1960 at EIGHT o'clock in the evening. PRESENT: J. Sherman Scott H. Ross Hawthorne Harvey Spang Edgar James Harry Boyes Ross Deakin Clifford Laycox L. T. Johnston Clerk As the Pire Committee met previous to the Council meeting with Messrs. Donald Lynde and Murray Russell, Chief of Fire Area 2 and decided that as the fire truck in Area 2 was beyond repair, another ~ruck should be purchased - preferably a used oil truck with a water capacity of 2000 gallons or morel Council passed: RESOLUTION NUMBER 395/60 MOVED by Mr. Boyes, seconded by Mr. Laycox, that a loan of ~1600.00 at current rate of interest be made to Fire Area No. 2 for the purchase of one tank truck not older than 1950 model, repayment to be made to the general fund prior to December 31, 1962. CARRIED RESOLUTION NO. 396/60 MOVED by Mr. James, seconded by Mr. Spang, that Resolution No. 392 reading: "That the Township of Pickering bear the cost of the culvert at the entrance to the Whitevale Cemetery", be rescinded. CARRIED RESOLUTION NO. 397 60 OVEn by Mr. Ha horne seconded by Mr. Spang that the Whitevale Cemetery Board be made a grant of $75.00.
