Sherman Scott, in the Chair H. Ross Hawthorne Harvey Spang Edgar James Harry Boyes Ross Deakin Clifford Laycox L. T. Johnston, Clerk The following CORRESPONDENCE was read: ~. Resolution o£ Recreation Committee, dated October 5, 1960, "That the Council Members of the Recreation Committee recommends to Council that Mr. Cane be relieved' of his duties as Secretary of the Recreation Committeen,and same was discussed. Accounts of Oliver Lloyd and'Associates Limited re C. B. C. work, amounting to $1,ó56.20, were submitted. The following PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard: ¡. Mr. A. C. Pink,. who lives near Erskiné CemèterYi objected to his assessment being increased from $975.00 in 954 to ' $2570.00 in 1960, with only a small addition costing $730.00 to his home. ~. Reeve Scott gave Mr. Pink directions as to how he could appeal such assessment. Mr. Pink als6 felt that Township roads - Fairport Road and Concession 2 - were very bad and Reeve advised that Con. 2 was now under construction. 2. Mrs. Jean McPherson stated she had been wrongl~ quoted in Press and had only asked who had authority to require a refund of $4.00 to her son for dog picked up. She also asked to see the report submitted by the Dog Committee. Reeve Scott s:ta.:ted the Dog Committee would meet after this Council meeting. RESOLUTION NUMBER 344/60 MoVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Deakin, that Council approve the payment of the following invoices for services from Oliver L~oyd and Associates Limited: Aug, J¡~ 1960. Plan - .').19.93 1.076.27 . 1,~.20 CA~RIED -- - _LUTTON NUMBER ';345/60 ," D by Mr. Spang, seconded by Mr. Hawthorne, ~ant to Claremont Bowling League, as approved Committee, be paid by October 14th, 1960. that the $50.00 by Recreation CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 346/60 MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Boyes, that Mr. Cane be relieved of his duties as Secretary of the Recreation Committee. CARRIED ... 2 - RESOLUTION NUMBER 347/60 MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. James, that Council inform Mr. Clarke and Mr. W. O. Bennett that free Township access is defined as such: One automobile to be removed from the barricade at all times, except when Mr. W. O. Bennett is residing on the premises. During this time, Mr. W. O. Bennett will be allowed park his car on his property in the right-of-way to be moved if requested by any Township official. MOTION LOST RESOLUTION NUMBER 348/60 MOVED by Mr. Hawthorne, seconded by Mr. Spang, that Mr. Hassardfs letter of August 17, 1960,'be forward by registered mail to Mr. W. O.Bennett, Miss Fraser, and Mr. Salmers, Solicitor for the above. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 349/60 MOVED by Mr. Hawthorne, seconded by Mr. James, that Mr. W. O. Bennett, Miss Fraser, and Mr. Salmers be advised that unless such vehicles are removed from the Township right-of-way in ' question on Lot 24, B. F. Concession, Range 3, by October la, 1960, said shall be removed by the Township. CARRIED , RESOLUTION NUMBER 350/60 MOVED by Mr. Hawthorne, seconded by Mr. Laycox, that free acces& over Township right-of-way on Lot 24, B.F. Range 3, be maintained for the Township at all times from the date of this motion. CARRIED On MOTION of Mr. Deakin, the meeting adjourned. APPROVED ~;¡fA(1960
