David A. Helliwell, who operates a Body and Fender shop on Harwood North, applied to move his business to Lot 78, Plan 377, adjoining the Vigor Oil Service Station. By-Law Enforce~ ment Officer approved. See Resolution No. 313/60. Mr. G. Sayer, King Street, MOW'lt Albert, who has taken out a Building Permit for a home in Lot 15, Plan 228, asked permission to live in a trailer for six months. See Resolution No. 316/&0. Mr. J, E. ~arn, of Southview Drive, registered his objection to Mr. Wilcox operating a Wrecking Yard in Lot l7J north of' Highway 401, and asked that the area be zoned Residential. Reeve Scott told Mr. Sharp they would be advised when zoning regulations were placed on this area, but pattern is set for light industry on Station Road. Mr. William Carlton~ Con. 1, Lot 29, objected to his 3! acres being cut by Weed Inspector without prior notice. The Weed Inspector stated he'''had cónformed to the Weed Control Act, so Council took no action. Councillor Deakin stated he believed Council should plan or build a road immediately north of Highway 401 from Station Road to Liverpool on Dixie Road in the hopes that industry would locate here and ~t benefit of advertising from Highway 401 traffic. Reeve Scott felt this desirable, but the cost of about $4.00 per foot should be paid by owners or prospective purchasers and that such road should be approved by the Planning Board, as to location. 2. 3. 4. Councillor Deakin also felt that the Township should have an aotive Industrial Committee in 1961, with a budget for adver- tising and expenses. See Resolution No. 322/60. Deputy-Reeve Hawthorne recommended that the obstruction of cars on Bennett right-of-way at Fairport should be removed to permit Township entrance to lands to the west. Resolution No. 321/60. RESOLUTION NUMBER 307/60 MQVED by Mr. Hawthorne, seconded by Mr. Spang, that this Council make application to the Department of Highways of Ontario for interim pay- ment of the statutory grant under'the Highway Improvement Act, on expenditures made in the year 1960 in the amount of $167,733.60. Helliwell and Douglas Guinn be granted a license for a Body, Fender and Paint Shop to be located at Lot 79, Plan 377, provided they-comply with the requests of the Building Inspector of the Township. R.3, Lot 24, be instructed to remove existing barricades on Township right-of-way by Friday noon, September 23rd, and that free access be maintained at all times for Township vehicles.
