An Emergent meeting of Council was held on I\IJSDAY the FmST day of
~H, 1960, at EIGHT o'clock in the evening.

TENDERS were opened for a 250,000 gallon water storage elevated
tank to be erected in West Rouge, and resulted as follows:
Bridge and Tank Co. of Canada Ltd.
Horton Steel Works Ltd.
Horton Steel Works Ltd.
Toronto Iron Works Ltd.
Sp~rling Tank & Mfg. Co. of Canada Ltd.

Messrs. Butler and Jefferson examined the
tenders and: reported to Council that the Horton Steel Works,
Ltd. Tender of $54,800.00 JIIet all tender specifications, and th~y
felt the company could be well recommended because of past
e xpe rie nee.
Council intimated that Messrs. Butlèr and
Jefferson's report would be accepted at the next regular meeting
of Council.
Clerk directed. to return unsuccessful tenderers'
cheeks.

Department be authorized to purchase from Hambly Tire Limited,
Oshawa, Ontario:
