Johnston, Clerk The following CORRESPONDENCE was read: l. De artment of A riculture Livestock Branch. Provincial sheep losses hy Counties. Ontario - ll,000.50 - Fifth largest. 2. Rouge Hill - Rosebank &eaQ Home and School Association, again asking Council for a sidewalk on Altona Road between Highway 2. Mr. Ward to bring in cost of sidewalk near fence. 3. L.. A. Kine:: complaining about drainage, Concession 1, Lot 30. Mr. Ward to report. 4. W. S. Saunders, Concession 1, Lot 32, complaining about drainage. Mr. Ward to report. 5. BY-LAW NUMBER Dr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Michell, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of the Cor~oration of the Township of Pickering to authorize the borrowing of , BO,OOO.OO upon Debentures for School Purposes (School Area 1), and that same now be read a first time. , Dr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Michell, moves that By-Law No. to authorize the borrowing of $ 80,000.00 upon Debentures for School Purposes, be,now read a second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the Whole thereori. BY-LAW NUMBER 1989 Mr. Michell, sefondeQ by Dr. Roberts, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of the Municipality of the Township of Pickering to adopt an Agreement for Fire Service to a portion of Pickering Townsh~p from the Village of Stouffville, and that same now be read a first time. Mr. Michell, seconded by Dr. Roberts, moves that by-Law No. 1989 to adopt an Agreement for Fire Service to a portion of Pickering Township from the Village of Stouffville, be now read a second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. - - 2 - By-Law Number 1989 (Continued) Mr. Michell, secondeq by Dr. Roberts, moves that the Report of the Committee o~ the Whole onBy-~aw Number 1989 be adopted, and tha~ the said By-Law be now read a Third time and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED BY-LAW ~ER.1991 Dr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Michell, moves for, leave to introduce a By-Law to assess the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, including the Polic,e Village of Claremont, for a general Public School rate to . provide funds for the Township statutory grants to Public Schools in the year 1954, and that same now be read a first time. Dr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Michell, moves that By-Law No. 1991 to assess the Municipality of the Township of Pickering, including the Police Village of Claremont, for a general Public. CARRIED BY-LAW NUMBER 1992 Mr. Michell, se~onded by Dr. Roberts, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law to provide for Petty Cash funds for the Treasurer and the Collector, and that same now be read a first time. ' Mr. Michell, seconded by Dr. Roberts, moves that By-Law No. 1992 to provide for Petty Cash funds for the Treasurer and the Collector, be now read a second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. The Committee of the Whole then arose and reported. Mr. Michell, seconded by Dr. Roberts, moves that the Report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 1992 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now read a third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED I - 3 - BY-LAW NUMBER 1993 Mr. Michell, seconded bylr. Roberts, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law to amend By-Law Number 1970 (tentative authorization for $80,000.00 Debenture, S. S. No. 18) and that same now be read a first time. Mr. Michell, seconded by Dr. Roberts, moves that By-Law No. 1993 to amend By-Law Number 1970 be now read a second time and that the Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. . The Committee of the Whole then arose and reported. Mr. Michell, seconded by Dr. Roberts, moves that the Report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 1993 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now read a Third time and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
