PRESENT: George T. Todd, in the Chair Clare A. Balsdon Hugh G. Michell William G. Newman William G. Lawson Lloyd T. Johnston MI~JTES of the previous meeting, hed December 1, 1953, were read, and on MOTION of Mr. N~chell, seconded by Mr. Lawson, ADOPTED. MINUTES of an Emergent Meeting, held December 14, 1953, were read, and on MOTION of Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Newman, ADOPTED. MI~JTES of an Emergent Meeting' held December 18, 1953, were read, and on MOTION of Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. ~ichell, ADOPTED. The following CORRESPONDENCE WAS read: 1. Mrs. Helen Smith, Secretary Junior Police, asking for an appointe~ memoer of Council on their Associati$n. 2. W. H. Westney, agreeing to work on division of assets for Pickering Village, as of December 31, 1953. 3. Barkey, Concession 2, S ½ Lot 18, complained about his Business Tax, saying it was too high. M~VED by Mr. Lawson,'seconded by Mr. Michell, that Mr. Barkey's Business Tax be sustained. CARRIED 2. Mrs. Clare Holter, Pickering Village, claimed that there was an error in computing her assessment MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr. Lawson, that Mrs- Holter's building assessment for 1953 - 1954 be reduced $ 150.00.
