HomeMy WebLinkAboutSeptember 15, 1952 MUNICIPAL BUILDING BROUGHAM An Emergent Meeting of Council was held on MONDAY, the FIPTEENTH day of SEPTEMBER, 1952, commencing at 8:15 o'cl0ck in the evening. PRESENT: George T. Todd, Chairman C. A. Balsdon H. G. Michell MOVED by Mm. Balsdon, seconded by M~. Michell, that Council offer ~amland $300.00 for land required for a road cut off at Todd's Corners from M~. Garland, said cut-off to be ~8 feet f~ontage by ~180 feet north and ~7 feet frontage by 200 feet on south side and that 7Mm. Horton make a sumvey. CARRIED Messrs. Wadsworth and Hughes, of John L. Graham and Company, represent- ing Graham and Company, Canadian Bank of Co~erce and Wood Gundy and Company, submitted a Tender for our $230,000.00 High School Debentures - I - 20 years - on following basis, to pay 5.12% .~% at $ 94-55 to pay $ 217,465.00 ~.3/~$~ at 96.65 to pay 222,295.00 5% at ~8~75 to pay 227,125.00 MOVED B~Z N~. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Michell, that the $230,000.00 ~SchooI Debenture - ~-%, 1 - 20 year, serial Debentures be amended by By-Law to read, "$ 230,000.00 - 5%, 1 - 20 year serial Debentures". CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Michell, that the Tender for Debentures, as submitted by J. L. Graham and Company, Canadian Bank of Commerce, and Wood Gundy Company, of $98.75 or $227,125.00 for our $230,000-® - 5%, 1 - 20 year serial Debenture be accepted by Council and same shall be dated October 15, 1952, for delivery on the same day. CARRIED On MOTION of Mr. Balsdon, the meeting adjourned. Reeve
