L B UI L D I N G BROUGHAM · A meeting of the Township of Ptckering Council was held on MONDAY, the SECOND day of OCTOBER, 1950, commencing at the hour of TEN O'clock in the forenoon. PRE~ENT: Reeve W. H. Westney, in the Chair. Deputy Reeve George'T. Todd Councillor Clare A. Balsdon Councillor Milton B. Bu~k Councillor Fred E. Zinkie. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read, and on MOTION of George Todd, seconded by M~. Cla~e Balsdon, ADOPTE~.. CORRESPONDENCE READ: 1. Graham & Co, who tendered with ~he Canadian B~nk of Commerce, asked that tenders be opened. ' MOVED by M~. Balsdon, seoonde~ by M~. Zinkie that all tenders be 6~ened, Mr. Wadsworth raised his tender to 97~0~ and agreed to print the Bonds. It was agreed that Mr. Ward should make arrangements with Mr. Grierson. -3- PERSOI~ BEA~D: Continued: 2. Mr. Wm. Hil]L of DUnba~'t0'~ Gardens, complained about the amount of ca~ium and where placed on Fairport Road No~th, and requested the Township to discontinue , putting ~on ~alcium iunless ~therwise, advised: Also , about the condition~ of _the ~w~st ditch of same road. 3. J. R. Martin .- complained a[bout wording of penalty clause on Tax BilL~ -Also ro&~ds and we~ds. Spoke about propose~ new fire e. ngine. 4e Mrs. H. Jatiouk- Complained about [asmesa~ent on Liverpool ~ house, and drainage. 5- G. ,M. Forsyt~e - asked Council to ~e carefu~about guaranteeing debentures for fire areas, and requested Council to levy police costs below Third Concession Line. 6. ~ Dr. N. E. McEwen complained about Building By-laws and about Picketing Beach bridge (now out). Did not · , know it was a County bridge. 7. Mr. Hurley asked for a ditch in front of his property at , Lot 32 ConcessiOn 8. 8. GeraXd Cowan~asked Council to pay his towing bill of $5.00 caused by bad roads last Spring. NO ACTION. 9. The 7 Road men asked th~at their pay be increased from 70~ to 8~ per hour. 10. Roy Ward asked that his salary be increased from $2,400. to $3,000. ~ 11. CARRIED. CLERK' S INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Advise County Clerk that there are no more names to be added from Picketing to the Memorial Plaque. 2. Ask Mr. Grant about a clause in our Dog-Catcher By-law permitting, say, the Chief Constable or Assistant, together with Bog-Catcher, to shoot a vicious dog that cannot be caught· 3. 'Phone Mrs. Norman Graham, Picketing, for name of owner of vicious Police Dog and write said owner. MOVED by Hr.
