George Todd, seconded by ~. Frank Disney, moves for leave to introduce a By-law to increase the salary of the Road Superintendent of the Township, and that same now be read a first time· Mr. George Todd, seconded by Mr. Clare Balsdon, moves that By-law No. 1799 to increase the salary of the Township Road Superintendent from $2,100. to $2,~00., effective from October lmt, 19~9, be now read a second time, and that the Council go into Committee of the whole thereon. Mr. George Todd, seconded by Mr. Clare Balsdon, moves that the Report of the Committee of the whole on BY-law No.1799 be adopted; and that the said By-law be now read a third time and passed; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corpc~ation be affixed thereto. COUNCIL agreed to meet on January 5th, 1950, at the ho,~r of one o'clock in the afternoon to appoint an Assessor. CLERK~ S INSTRUCTIONS. 1. Advise Frank Prouse re Bonk living in his public garage. 2. Get in t~uch with Markham~ and. 0shawa Hydro re accepting contracts on buildings not built to our standards. 3. Get advi4e from Mr. Grant re high fee for trailer camps and evlc~ion~ of persons in cabins after 12 days. ~. Get report from Chief Irvine re H.H.Burt dogs and insurance for all taxis and advise re indiscriminate shooting. MOVED by Mr. Clare Balsdon, seconded by Mr. George. Todd, that the Reeve grant his order on the Treasurer to pay the several parties as recommended by the several Committees as pre s~ted this day. .
