By-law No. 7512/16
Being a by-law to stop-up and close Lennox Lane, Plan
40M-2089 as public highway. .
Whereas pursuant to the Municipal Act, the Council of the City may pass by-laws to
stop-up and close a highway.
Whereas, Notice of this by-law has been published for 2 consecutive weeks.
Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as
follows:
1. The following highway is hereby stopped-up and closed to vehicular traffic:
• Lennox Lane, Plan 40M-2089:
2. The City shall ensure that all utility easements are conveyed to the appropriate
utility authority for nominal consideration ($2.00).
3. The Mayor, City Clerk and Director, Corporate Services & City Solicitor are
hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation to effect the
stopping-up and closing of Lennox Lane, Plan 40M-2089 as a public.highway
and to finalize the sale of Blocks 39 to 41, 47 and 48, Plan 40M-2089 to the
adjacent owner to the east.
