A meeting of the Picketing Township
Council was held on ~EDNESDAY, the
TWENTY-NINTH day of OCTOB~.R, 1969,
at 11:15 P.M.
PRESENT: Heeve J. R. Williams
Deputy Reeve R. Chatten
Councillors- V. Rudik D. Kitchen
R. Mason
A. King
J. Kruger
Clerk D. J. Plitz
Council convened into an emergent meeting to deal with a matter on
expropriation with respect to lands through which it is expected
the Lawrence Avenue extension will emerge.
By-Law Number ~726/69
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Deputy Reeve R. Chatten,
moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of
Picker~ng to authorize the expropriation of Lots 117 and
118, Registered Plan 285, and that same now be read a first
time.
Councillor J. K~Ager, seconded by ~puty .~--~ R_ 0h~.~n,
moves that By-law Number 3726/69 to authorize the expropriation
of Lots 117 and 118, Registered Plan 285, be now read a
second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law
as read.
Councillor J. Kruger, seconded by Councill0r ~, Mason, moves
that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Number
~726/69 be ~opted, and that the said 8F-law be now read a
Third Time and PASSED. that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.

The Council instructed tb~ Clerk to have the Building Inspector
place a stop-work order on the lots in question.
Moved by Councillor J. Kruger, that this Council meeting now
adjourn to reconvene intoFinance Committee.
