Quick and notice of a public meeting on Monday, Decembe~ 20, at Dunbarton High School at 8 p.m. to hear from persons interested in serving as Trustee for the balance of the term - the calendar year 1972. The Honourable Charles Macl~aughton, Ministe~, Department of Transportation and Communications advises re Council's resolution with respect to Brock Road at its intersection with the Macdonald-Cartier F~eeway. Copies to Council. Reeve Williams indicated a letter is being prepared for submission to the Hon. Charles MacNaughton, Minister of the Department of Transportation and Communications. It was also suggested that a meeting with Mr. MacNaughton, Mr. Newman, and Reeve Williams should be arranged to discuss the 401 interchange proposal. The Pickering Township Game Commission recommend that the Township Council permit a deer hunt in the Township in 1972, three days, shotguns only, no dogs. Rudik, seconded by Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, that this Council hereby endorses the recommendation of the Pickering Township Planning Board that the application A 9/70 Justine Holdings Ltd. on lands in part lot 28, Range 3, be approved subject to a develop- ment and site plan agreement and that the maximum density be 16 units per acre with off-street parking to be in substantial compliance with the proposed parking requirements. CARRIED Resolution #491/71 MOVED by Councillor J. S. Scott, seconded by Councillor R. Chatten, that Mr. J. Jacobson be invoiced for the cost incurred by the Fire Department in the amount of $94.35 plus 15\ administration cost for the illegal burning of a building in the Dunbarton area, as recommended by the Standing Committee on Fire) November 22,1971. Kitchen, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to authorize the borrowing of $355,000.00 upon debentures towards the purchase of lands for an industrial site, and that same now be read a first time. Scott, moves that By~law Humber' 4087/ 71 to authorize the borrowing of $355,000.00 upon debentures towards the purchase of lands for an industrial site, be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. Kitchen, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to sell a stopped-up portion of the road allowance known as Greenwood Road, Sideline 11/12, Concession 4, and that same now be read a first time. Councillor Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor J. S. Scott, moves that By-law Number 4092/71 to sell a stopped-up portion of the road allowance known as Greenwood Road, Sideline 11/12, Concession 4 be now read a second time and that .Council go into Committee of the ~fuole thereon. McPherson, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to execute an agreement between John Stephenson & Associates Ltd. and the Township of Pickering, and that same now be read a first time. Chatten, moves that By-law Number 4093/71 to authorize the Reeve and Clerk to execute an agreement between John Stephenson S Associates Ltd. and the Township of Pickering be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. (VII) 2. - 6 - 36/71 OTHER BUSINESS Notice of Motion Moved by Mrs. J. L. McPherson, seconded by Councillor J. S. Scott, that the injunction against Miss Violet Swan, which was in contravention of By-laws 2223 and 2511, be lifted or that our legal counsel be advised to pursue the matter for ultimate conclusion, and that any other outstanding injunctions of this nature be concluded as soon as possible. TABLED This matter was tabled until further information is available. Instructions Clerk to arrange to have Mr. J. F. Brewin, Solicitor acting on behalf of the Township appear before the Committee of the wHole to give a full report on the disposition of this case. Clerk to invite Councillors-elect to balance of all 1971 Council and Committee meetings and provide agendas and supporting material. Mr. Allan Seal, Pickering Beach resident, expressed his thanks to Council and wished them well for the future. COl~FIRMATION BY-LAW By-Law Number 4094/71 Councillor Mrs. J. L. Rudik, moves for leave to introduce a By-law of the Township of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering at its meeting held on the 6th day of December, 1971, and that same now be read a first time.
